Insurance Apprentice

The role being offered is an Underwriting Apprenticeship which requires you to be highly driven, eager to learn and develop as well as being self-motivated. We do not require relevant experience; this is an opportunity to start a career in Underwriting within a market leading company Your role will involve the underwriting of Taxi Fleet and Truck Fleet policies including accurate quoting and full transparency of new business and renewal premiums in accordance with Company procedures and authority limits. You will be negotiating and relationship building with existing and new Agents and carrying out general administration business support. All of the above will be in compliance with FCA regulation and Company Training & Competence Plan The Role You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written coupled with an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills You will have a flexible, adaptable, and pro-active approach to tasks with the ability to learn quickly, You will be very customer focused with experience in working in a demanding environment You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload in line with changing priorities, You will be a great collaborator, with the willingness to support others You will be competent in using MS packages such as MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook The Candidate Effective personal planning and organisation Accuracy and attention to detail Confident use of MS Office Suite Good interpersonal and communication skills The ability to work in a team A passion for building fantastic working relationships with clients and colleagues An appetite to learn and develop and successfully achieve your apprenticeship An inquisitive nature with a willingness to ask questions 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) As well as our competitive salary a PIB Apprenticeship also offers a completion bonus, wardrobe allowance and many other exciting benefits!
