Service Engineer

Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Service Engineer to work for a well-established organisation who specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke products. As the Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing telephone and on-site technical support to a variety of clients within the Marine and Rail industries. Working hours for the Service Engineer: Monday - Thursday (7.30am - 4.30pm) Friday (7.30am - 1.30pm) What’s on offer for the Service Engineer: Competitive salary up to £43,000 p.a. 32 days holiday (inclusive of BH’s) Employee assistance programs Optional health care plans Bonuses (dependant on company performance) Duties of the Service Engineer: Site installation and configuration of equipment Service and repair of machinery and equipment on customer sites Fitting, wiring and assembly of products Fault finding on both mechanical & electrical systems Complete Site Reports Prepare reports on equipment status and service history Work with cross functional departments to improve product performance and reliability Forge quality customer relationships by liaising professionally with customers whilst on site The successful candidate for the Service Engineers position will have the following experience: Formal electrical qualification or apprenticeship (Desirable) UK/EU Travel (Essential) Understanding of schematic & engineering drawings Full UK driving licence Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
