Graduate Teaching Assistant Primary School Full Time Croydon Start date: September 2025 Are you a graduate considering a career as a Primary School Teacher? The Role As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils working at all levels including children with Special Educational Needs within a class or across a year group. Your role will include: Providing support to individual students and groups within the class ensuring pupils understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to make progress. Leading small groups in English, Maths, phonics and reading Working with students with SEN and additional learning needs Supporting the preparation of classes including resources and equipment Assisting with assessments/observations where required Assisting with extra-curricular events and initiatives Providing support during break and lunchtimes as required To apply for this role you must have: A Bachelors degree A minimum of Grade C/4 in GCSE English and GCSE Maths An interest in pursuing a career in education Strong verbal and written English Excellent communication skill A calm and approachable manner Experience working with children and/or vulnerable adults We have a policy to respond to all applications within three working days.
