Position Summary: We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in Embedded Systems and AI/ML to join our team. You will play a key role in designing and developing software for embedded devices in the IoT/Automotive sector, contributing to robust and efficient solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Develop middleware on Linux-based embedded systems for managing updates, application lifecycle, security, and hardware abstraction. Implement real-time data collection and processing for Automotive IoT applications such as fleet monitoring, predictive maintenance, drive style estimation, vehicle health monitoring, and road type estimation. Deploy and integrate AI/ML models on edge devices to improve system intelligence and responsiveness. Minimum Requirements: Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming. Proficiency in Linux OS and shell scripting. Experience with AI/ML frameworks and deploying models on embedded systems. Familiarity with real-time data processing and IoT communication protocols. Problem-solving skills and effective teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with the Yocto Project for embedded Linux development. Keen understanding of automotive standards and protocols (e.g., CAN, UDS). Knowledge of hardware accelerators such as GPUs or TPUs for AI/ML. Understanding cybersecurity principles in embedded systems. Additional Information: Languages: English and Italian (B2). Work Model: Hybrid. We are open to considering internships for students.
