Senior Tax Analyst - US Tax

Key Responsibilities · Work closely with the global stakeholders to process and ensure accurate recording (Accruals, Amortization, Allocation, Reclass, etc), reporting, consolidation and analyzing reports pertaining to Tax accounting · Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations covering Tax and related account. Closely monitor and resolve all aged open items and make sure balance is properly supported. · Active participation in performing the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process related to Tax. "· Preparation of Tax work papers and matching with the reports. Reasonable understanding of US Tax laws." · Preparing monthly close reports & variance analysis of various entities to ensure the numbers are materially accurate · Extract, modify and analyze monthly reports as required and resolve queries. · Perform Tax related audit deliverables during audit. · Periodic updation of SOP's to make sure any process changes, exceptions and new learnings are updated timely. Job requirements: Ability to understand logic behind and complete workpapers for: • Federal Form 990 and 990T UBI (specifically Trial Balance, BS, IS, Schedule B, I, R and Volunteer Hours) • State Sales and Use Tax returns for CA, WA, MT, NM and TX • WA State and City Business and Occupation tax returns • Partnership Tax Form 1065 • Federal Excise Tax Form 720 • Personal Property Tax (PPT) for various counties Ability to understand workpapers and find ways to standardize and improve the process Ability to communicate clearly with outside tax vendor Ernst and Young Ability to meet strict tax deadlines Ability to work as part of a team to complete more than 120 tax reconciliations every month Familiarity with Oracle Cloud ERP, Vertex and Healthcare Accounting beneficial Who are we looking for? · Preferably CMA / MBA / M.com / Semi qualified with 3 to 5 years (or) CA / CPA with 1 to 2 years of experience in Tax accounting · Excellent communication skills and cross -departmental collaboration skills. · Experience in working with global stakeholders . · High-performance creativity and “optimistic” personality. · Night shift role, EST time zone (4pm - 1am).
