Job Description
Position Title: DevOps Engineer II Job Description: Roles & responsibilities: Design and implement GitHub Actions CI (Continuous Integration) pipelines which are crucial for compiling the source code and creating the artifact using tools like maven and Gradle Design and implement GitHub Actions CD (Continuous Deployment) pipelines to deploy the artifacts from the CI process to the different environments like QA, Staging, UAT, Production using tools like GitHub Actions Design and implement the configuration management process which is vital in maintaining environment specific deployments by using environment and configuration variables through tools like ansible Ensure 100% uptime of the infrastructure (virtual/cloud/on-premise data centers) that run mission critical software applications and services. Develop, deploy, and maintain tools for observability of software applications that measure and alert the availability and performance of the software applications and services using tools like AppDynamics, AZ AppInsights, Prometheus and Grafana Maintain and patch applications and tools used for CI/CD process and production infrastructure for security and compliance Design and implement Azure Kubernetes Clusters and onboard the business applications. Support application teams by provisioning the required AZ and GCP platform components Experience Required: 3 years of working with one public cloud, Azure or GCP 3 years of working with DevOps, Automation and/or Software development lifecycle. 3 years of experience working IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools like Terraform 3 years of experience working with configuration management tools like Ansible 3 years of experience working with CICD tool set - GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube code coverage tool, Code vulnerability scanning tools like Veracode 3 years of experience in provisioning and maintaining AZ or GCP PaaS components, like SQL DB, MongoDB, Storage Accounts/Buckets, Secret Management tools Practical knowledge of shell scripting and Python Practical knowledge of troubleshooting techniques that involve analysis of logs, traffic trace, configuration data, automation tools to resolve issues until end-to-end systems are functioning. Practical knowledge of restful services, micro-services architecture, distributed systems and API Management tools. Practical knowledge of security, networking, and RDBMS/Database technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Redis). Practical knowledge of pro-active solutions to prevent future problems and automate processes so that engineers can self-service their operational requirements. Practical knowledge of all layers of the TCP/IP stack and common Internet services/protocols such as SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NTP, and HTTP.
