Junior Interior Designer

Company Description Company: Studio Morkas Location: Surat (Remote / Hybrid/ On-Site) Experience: 1–3 Years (experience helpful but not necessary) Job Type: Full-Time About the role: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for aesthetics, a good understanding of spatial planning, and the ability to translate client needs into functional and visually appealing spaces. Key responsibilities: Assist senior designers with concept development, mood boards, and material selection Create 2D drawings, 3D renders, and layouts using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar Participate in client meetings, site visits, and measurements Source furniture, fabrics, and decor based on the design brief and budget Prepare presentations, BOQs, and documentation Coordinate with vendors and contractors under supervision Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in interior design Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field Proficiency in design tools: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office (Revit is a plus) Strong creative and visualization skills Good communication and collaboration skills Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently Willingness to learn and take initiative Preferred Qualifications (bonus): Internship or freelance experience in residential, commercial, or retail design Knowledge of sustainable materials and practices Basic understanding of local building codes and regulations
