Position: Assistant Professor – Aerospace Engineering Specialization: Aeronautical & Space Infrastructure and Allied Fields Experience: 2–7 years (Teaching/Research) Qualification: Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or relevant specialization About the Role We are inviting applications from enthusiastic and highly qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering . The role focuses on teaching, research, and academic development in areas related to Aeronautical Systems, Space Infrastructure, Satellite Technology, and Allied Aerospace Fields . The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, a Ph.D., and a demonstrated passion for education, research, and innovation. Primary Responsibilities Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Design and update syllabi for courses in aeronautics, satellite technology, propulsion, and space mission architecture. Guide student research projects, theses, and internships. Publish high-quality research papers in reputed journals and conferences. Contribute to funded research and consultancy in collaboration with space agencies, R&D labs, or defense organizations. Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance, and accreditation activities. Organize workshops, conferences, guest lectures, and industry interaction programs. Mentor and support students in academic and co-curricular development. Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside the institution. Key Areas of Expertise Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics Satellite and Launch Vehicle Design Aerospace Propulsion and Thermal Systems Avionics, Navigation, and Control Systems Spacecraft Structures and Materials Mission Planning & Space Infrastructure Computational Methods in Aerospace Engineering Desirable Skills Proficiency in engineering tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, STK, CATIA, SolidWorks, Simulink, OpenFOAM Experience in simulation, CFD, FEM, and systems modeling Strong research portfolio with Scopus/SCI publications Industry linkages or prior collaborations with ISRO, DRDO, HAL, or similar Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities Strong proposal writing and grant acquisition abilities Eligibility Criteria Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a related domain from a recognized institution. Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching or postdoctoral research experience . Proven record of research and academic contribution in relevant fields.
