Job Description
Omnia Consulting are looking for a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our friendly team in the South. The individual will be helping our team with site investigations across the country are therefore will need a full UK driving license . Some experience would be beneficial but not required, and we are looking for someone with a relevant degree. Relevant Skills: Good teamwork skills and the ability to foster good working relationships Communication skills and networking ability Adaptability Strong attention to detail Good organisation, time management and planning skills Commercial awareness Numerical skills IT skills including competency with word and excel Key attributes include: Basic understanding of UK Geology Enthusiasm for the industry and a desire to learn and grow Good communication skills (verbal and written) Can work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude Willing to work across the company operational geographical areas as required in both the office and in the field Focused on the safety of yourself and others Enthusiastic and self-motivated Main Duties and Responsibilities: Phase 1 Desk Study Reports Management of subcontractors Site investigation works (when competent and confident) including: – Window Sampling – Trial Pitting – Gas Monitoring – Water Sampling – Soil sampling Phase 2 Site Investigation Reports Project management and scheduling of samples for analysis Remediation Method Statements (Phase 3 Reports) Validation sampling and reporting (Phase 4 Reports) Opportunity to prepare cost proposals for review by senior staff.
