Reviews patient charts to determine appropriateness of admission according to CMS regulations. Develops and completes the required Pre-Admission Screening document to submit to the Rehabilitation Physician for review. Markets the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program to customers, current and potential referral sources, and the community to gain a fair market share of admissions for fiscal viability and growth of the program. Position Responsibilities Effectively markets the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility to increase admissions into the program. Conduct activities that are conducive to converting referrals to admissions in congruence with CMS regulations. Functions as a collaborative and integral member of the Rehab Interdisciplinary Team Develops and meets/exceeds monthly admission goals as established in conjunction with Director of Operations Collaborates professionally with the Medical, Case Management and Therapy teams from all inpatient facilities from which referrals are received Additional Job Description Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, physical, occupational, or speech therapy program . Bachelor degree or higher preferred. A minimum of one year clinical or Case Management experience required, preferably in an Inpatient Rehab setting. Licensure to practice in the state of South Carolina. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
