The school houses an ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision) specifically for children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), where the successful candidate will be based. As a Speech and Language Graduate Teaching Assistant , you will benefit from: Working in a highly specialised ARP with access to expert guidance from Speech and Language Therapists Gaining hands-on, practical experience in a setting ideal for aspiring Speech and Language Therapists or Educational Psychologists Long-term stability with a full academic year of work from September A well-structured support system and tailored CPD from experienced SEN professionals A clear route into teacher training or further postgraduate study Your role as a Speech and Language Graduate Teaching Assistant will include: Supporting pupils with Speech and Language difficulties across EYFS and KS1 within the ARP Working collaboratively with class teachers and therapists to deliver bespoke interventions Building trusting relationships with students to enhance communication confidence and classroom engagement Using a range of visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning strategies to aid pupil development Maintaining consistent routines and behaviour strategies to support learning and progress The ideal Speech and Language Graduate Teaching Assistant will have: A 2:1 or higher in a Psychology, Linguistics, Speech and Language, or related degree Previous experience working with children with SEN, especially those with SLCN A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach to learning A genuine passion for inclusive education and child development This Speech and Language Graduate Teaching Assistant role is based in Ealing , easily accessible by public transport and well-connected to surrounding boroughs.
