DevOps Engineer (32533)

Our client, Ottawa base client in the Financial space, is seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer for a multi year HYBRID contract to support infrastructure automation and cloud engineering initiatives. The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise in Azure and containerization technologies, with strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate must have a valid security clearance in place at the SECRET LEVEL. Required Qualifications & Skills: University degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation roles Minimum 5 years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes) 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and solutions Experience working in Agile teams using JIRA and documenting in Confluence Experience deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and/or Red Hat OpenShift Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Proficient in Git-based version control systems such as GitHub Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing needs Preferred/Additional Qualifications: Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400) Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python Experience with cloud migration projects from on-premises to Azure Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management Business Communication: Capable of conveying complex information clearly and persuasively across all levels and to global audiences. Strategic Thinking: Understands and applies a long-term, big-picture perspective to identify and pursue business opportunities. Relationship Management: Builds and maintains effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers; skilled in influencing, negotiating, and managing conflict.
