Your New Role We’re looking for a Global HR Business Partner (Group Functions) who will provide proactive, commercially-focused HR support to help drive Hays’ strategic goals. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across multiple functions such as Technology, Finance, Marketing, People, Legal, and Product Innovation & Data, helping to shape and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives. Reporting to the Head of HR, Group, you'll be a trusted advisor, collaborating with management teams to lead people initiatives. This role will involve shaping organizational structures, supporting change management, driving talent strategies, and enhancing employee engagement and wellbeing. You will be at the forefront of delivering key HR projects while creating high-performing teams and contributing to Hays’ diversity, equity, and inclusion agenda. Key Responsibilities Business Partnerships & Strategic People Planning: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, offering relevant HR advice and guidance. Gain an in-depth understanding of business challenges and opportunities to provide tailored people plans. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, maximizing people performance and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Guide organizational design decisions, providing data-driven insights to support business evolution. Lead and manage organizational changes, such as restructuring or process improvements, while mitigating resistance and supporting smooth transitions. Collaborate on talent strategies, succession planning, and workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in place for the future. Culture & Employee Engagement: Work with leadership teams to create a positive work environment that promotes engagement, satisfaction, and morale. Champion initiatives that foster an inclusive culture, supporting wellbeing, diversity, and belonging across the business. Play an active role in the annual employee engagement process, driving improvements in employee experience. Employee Relations & Guidance: Offer expert coaching and advice on people management and employment matters, ensuring compliance with HR policies. Work with the wider People teams to resolve employee relations issues with consistency and professionalism. Take ownership of resolving non-complex employee relations cases and supporting leaders through the process. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as an HR business partner within a global organization undergoing transformation. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively across different business functions. Excellent commercial acumen and leadership capabilities. Experience in driving organizational design and people-focused change initiatives. Knowledge of employment law, with an understanding of global legal frameworks, especially outside the UK. A pragmatic approach to HR, delivering effective solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to HR best practices. CIPD qualification is desirable, but not essential.
