Sales Team Leader Overview As Internal Sales Manager, you will lead and inspire our Internal Business Development Managers (BDMs) based in Bournemouth. You’ll be responsible for ensuring day-to-day sales activity is effective, consistent, and aligned with best practice. This is a hands-on, non-strategic leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives on coaching, developing talent, and maintaining a high-energy, high-output sales floor. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage and support the Internal BDM team, ensuring they are motivated, productive, and delivering results Performance Management: Monitor KPIs, pipeline activity, and broker engagement to ensure high standards and identify opportunities for improvement Coaching & Development: Deliver individual training programmes based on observed needs, including objection handling, deal structuring, competitor differentiation, and presentation skills Sales Enablement: Be a consistent presence on the floor, available to support live calls, assist with challenging cases, and drive urgency when issuing terms Process Oversight: Ensure the team follows best practice for application generation, CRM usage, and follow-up discipline Internal Comms & Culture: Help foster a positive, focused, and accountable environment, while contributing to team morale and culture Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales Director to implement initiatives, report on performance, and maintain alignment with wider company objectives What We're Looking For Experience in a B2B financial services sales role, ideally within bridging finance or specialist lending A proven track record in coaching or leading small sales teams Strong understanding of sales process, pipelines, and relationship management Confident communicator with a collaborative approach and an ability to “lead from the front” Naturally organized, proactive, and commercially minded Desirable Experience in issuing terms, deal structuring or working with mortgage brokers Familiarity with Salesforce and basic reporting tools Social media engagement or content experience in a sales context Remuneration · Basic Salary £35 - 39K DOE Benefits · Workplace pension scheme · 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays; increasing by 1 day per year worked, up to a maximum 30 days · Option to buy/sell up to 3 days holiday per annum (upon successful completion of probationary period) · Death in Service at 4 x salary (from day one of employment) · 5-year, 10-year and 15-year excellent service awards · Car parking (limited onsite or, if offsite, cost of parking refunded) · Employee Assistance Programme providing access to mental health support and counselling · And more….
