With a growing network of franchise partners and a busy head office marketing agency team based in the heart of Cardiff, we deliver full-service marketing support to clients across the UK, combining creativity with commercial results. We’re now looking for a Marketing Manager to join our head office team. This person should be someone who thrives on variety, loves getting stuck into a fast-paced role, and brings a mix of marketing know-how and strong commercial sense. The Role This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who can confidently manage a busy and varied workload while driving forward activ’s marketing presence. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll lead on planning, delivering and analysing marketing activity across the full mix - digital, brand, events, content and campaigns. You’ll need to be equally comfortable thinking big and rolling up your sleeves. This role suits someone who has worked agency-side, understands the pace and pressure that comes with it, and genuinely enjoys making things happen. You will be client facing and need to be a ‘safe pair of hands’ for any client or franchise partner trusting the agency team with their activity. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company-wide marketing strategy in line with business objectives Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns to support brand awareness, client acquisition, and franchise recruitment Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns on behalf of clients, maintain results, grow account and build strong relationships Create and manage marketing calendars, budgets and performance reporting Coordinate content and communications across email, social, blog, website, print, and video Work closely with the CEO and wider team to shape marketing priorities and support business goals Maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints Support activ franchise partners with campaign guidance, templates, and toolkits Manage external partners and contractors where needed Stay up to date on marketing trends and competitor activity to inform plans What We’re Looking For Minimum of 3 years in a marketing management role Experience agency-side or in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable Strong understanding of the full marketing mix and how to apply it strategically, commercially and in a human-led way Commercially minded, with a strategic approach and creative problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Confident managing multiple projects and shifting priorities Experience using CRM, CMS, social media scheduling and email platforms (e.g. WordPress, ClickUp, HubSpot, Funnel Sketchers) A marketing qualification (e.g. CIM or equivalent) is a bonus Who You Are A genuine committed team player who’s proactive, organised, and full of ideas that they are happy to present to others Someone who loves variety, thrives in a dynamic setting, and brings energy to the room A lovely person (yes, really!) who’s great to work with but also commercially astute and outcome-focused Why Join Us?
