Sustainability Graduate — Energy & Climate Sector Location: Hybrid (with one day per month in Cambridge) Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Benefits Contract: Full-time, Permanent About the Client Our client in the sustainable energy and climate sector , is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient future. They’re currently looking for a motivated Sustainability Graduate to join their dynamic team — someone with a real passion for climate change and decarbonisation, and an interest in applying digital tools to support this vital work. The Role This is an exciting opportunity to support projects focused on climate change mitigation, decarbonisation strategies, and sustainable energy systems . While the main focus will be on climate and sustainability projects , the role also offers the opportunity to apply and further develop digital skills — including Python and data visualisation tools. The position is offered on a hybrid basis , with remote working and just one day per month required in their Cambridge office . Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of climate change and decarbonisation projects for a range of clients. Assist with data analysis, sustainability reporting, and carbon footprint assessments. Contribute to decarbonisation strategy development and energy modelling projects. Help develop and enhance digital tools, dashboards, and data visualisations where appropriate. Essential Skills & Experience A recent graduate (or final year student) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Climate Studies, Energy Systems, or a related field. A strong interest in climate change, decarbonisation, and sustainable energy . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Some exposure to digital tools and coding (such as Python, front-end technologies, or Hyperscript ) would be an advantage, but is not essential — a willingness to develop these skills is highly valued. Desirable Experience with carbon footprinting methodologies, sustainability reporting frameworks, or climate risk assessments. Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Plotly, or similar). Interest or experience in digital applications for environmental analysis.
