Maths Academic Mentor – What the School Offers Weekly CPD sessions and structured staff development pathways A calm and respectful behaviour culture across the school High-quality mentoring and induction support for all new staff A cohesive and motivated staff team who work closely to support student success Opportunities for teacher training and future career progression Maths Academic Mentor – What the Role Involves Delivering small-group and 1:1 maths interventions at KS5 level Supporting students with revision, catch-up, and exam preparation Liaising with teachers to track pupil progress and impact Helping to raise attainment and boost student confidence in maths Supporting a positive learning environment across sixth form study spaces Maths Academic Mentor – What the School is Looking For The school is looking for a proactive, personable Maths Academic Mentor with a strong academic background and a passion for supporting young people. You should hold a 2:1 or First-Class degree in a relevant subject from a top 30 UK university and ideally have some prior experience working with young people in a tutoring, mentoring or school-based capacity. A willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for maths education are essential. Maths Academic Mentor – Salary and Contract Info £500–£550 per week, pro rata to term time only Full-time, long-term contract (September 2025–July 2026) Term-time only role based in a Sixth Form environment Potential for teacher training or contract extension following a successful placement This is a fantastic opportunity to build hands-on experience in a well-regarded Haringey Sixth Form while making a real impact on student progress.
