Position Details Job Title: Assistant Professor Position Number: [Number] Job Category: University Faculty Job Type: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Location: Rogers Park-Lake Shore Campus Department: CRIMINAL JUSTICE Salary Range: $50,000 – $85,000 Duties and Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses on criminal justice topics, engage in departmental and university service, conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, and seek external research funding. Up to 50% remote work is permitted. Qualifications Doctoral (PhD) in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related field Experience teaching Research Methods at undergraduate level Research in corrections and/or desistance from crime Record of securing external research funding Publication in "Crime and Justice: A Review of Research" or similar Additional Details Salary is for a nine-month academic appointment. The actual salary will depend on experience, qualifications, and other factors. Salaries above the maximum may be offered in limited circumstances.
