Blaster

· Perform drilling and blasting activities according to approved blast plans and safety protocols · Charging explosives into blast holes using proper charging techniques and equipment · Ensure the proper placement and stemming of explosives to achieve desired fragmentation and minimize fly-rock Grade 12 or NQF 4 Blasting Certification (Opencast) 5 to 10 years experience as blaster in Coal Mining operations Knowledge of blasting techniques, explosives safety, and regulatory requirements Knowledge of the Opencast Mining Competent person A certificate Integrity, reliable and ethical Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks in a challenging work environment A valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle Clear Criminal Record
