You'll be based at a leading-edge research facility, where your clinical skills will support ethically grounded, welfare-focused programs. What You’ll Do Act as a deputy Named Veterinary Surgeon under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act Deliver expert clinical care and case management, including anaesthesia, surgery, and ophthalmology Provide advice and guidance on animal welfare, contributing to internal ethical review processes Engage with multidisciplinary teams, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure compliance and excellence in veterinary care Support and potentially lead specialist research, with opportunities to publish and present work What We’re Looking For Eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Strong clinical foundation in medicine and surgery, with interest in developing skills across a variety of species Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Prior experience in laboratory animal medicine is an advantage, but full training will be provided Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (non-onerous) Step out of the ordinary and into a veterinary role with impact.
