Job Title: Project Management Apprenticeship Location: Nottingham Closing date: Wednesday 18th June 2025 Assessment centre: July 2025 Start date: mid-August – early September Hours: 37.5 hours per week Recruitment Partner: Noaman Hussain (noaman.hussain@boots.co.uk) About the apprenticeship The Project Management Apprentice Programme is designed to immerse you into our Pharmacy Management System (PMS) in-house application continuous delivery function whilst studying for your Project Management Apprentice. You will complete the course whilst learning on the job in a role within our Continuous Delivery team to both showcase your newly learnt skills and spending time across different areas of end-to-end IT delivery to broaden your skillset and knowledge. Project Management Apprenticeship is for 18 months About your role The PMS application known as Columbus is a critical application for our circa 2k Pharmacy stores across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It enables stores operational teams to manage workflow in stores whilst providing the patients with a compliant and personalised service. The Columbus Continuous Delivery team based in Nottingham and Naples (Italy) and maintain and enhance the in-house built application following NHS accreditation alongside understanding to Pharmacy and IT strategy to support an outstanding operation. The Cloud-based platform uses the latest techniques to ensure the Pharmacy operation runs as efficiently as possible through a mixture of intuitive user interface, streamlined processes and AI. The teams end-to-end responsibility spans from working with the business teams to identify opportunities, innovatively shape solutions, specify, develop, test, deploy and maintain the solution. As part of that responsibility, they work with wider technical teams in cloud, integration and security alongside external 3rd Parties to ensure our platform operates in a secure and compliant way, and with our Service teams to diagnose and resolve issues on live services. As a Project Apprentice you will work as part of the continuous delivery team to: Help identify and specify solutions Coordinate and Manage parts of the continuous delivery scope Manage and in some cases identify continuous improvement programs Work in collaboration with multiple technical teams in Nottingham and Naples Develop an understanding of the multiple roles and responsibilities and career paths available within the platform What you'll need to have You have achieved: GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C/Grade 4 or above OR you have achieved or be willing to work towards (if required): Level 2 Functional Skill in Maths and English You have or are on track to achieve one of the following: 3 A levels at Grade B or above 120 UCAS points (300 old traffic) Advanced Level Apprenticeship Note: You will not be eligible for this apprenticeship if you have previously, or due to complete by the end of this August an apprenticeship or qualification in the same subject matter as this apprenticeship at level 4 or higher within the same subject sector It would be great if you also have These are desirable skills or experience and are not essential, so we would welcome applications from candidates that don't match this additional criteria.
