Tutor - Doncaster Salary: £34,058 per year Hours: 40 hours per week (Term-time only) Location: Doncaster About the role: As a Tutor, you'll deliver engaging and practical teaching to students aged 18-25 with Autism and complex needs, using a therapeutic and supportive approach. Your sessions will focus on developing independence, employment skills, community participation, and overall wellbeing-preparing learners for adulthood. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative, student-focused lessons linked to real-life skills Support progress through assessment, tracking, and regular reporting Organise community-based learning and work experience activities Work closely with support staff, families, and external partners Contribute to EHCP reviews and ensure learning is tailored to individual needs Ensure all learning environments are safe and inclusive Maintain up-to-date planning, resources, and risk assessments Support college-wide events and contribute to positive student transitionsAbout You: You'll have relevant SEND teaching experience in a college setting and a strong understanding of EHCP targets. Flexibility to teach across curriculum areas and a collaborative approach working with care teams, parents, and partners are essential. Qualifications: Must be a qualified teacher or working towards an appropriate qualification starting within 6 months of commencing in role with a view of completion within 2 years of starting.
