Primary Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Looking for a fulfilling Primary Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant role in Liverpool? A North Liverpool based Primary School is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Foundation Stage Primary Teaching Assistant from September 2025, potentially till the end of the academic year. This is a full time, long-term role with a daily rate of up to £100 per day. About the role To work in the Foundation Stage as part of a professional team to facilitate teaching and learning within the EYFS environment and make a positive difference on the outcomes of pupils. The role requires someone who enjoys working with children and is keen, enthusiastic and highly motivated. The role also requires the person to have emotional and physical resilience. Core responsibilities and tasks * Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the EYFS team including small steps, continuous provision and ongoing formative assessment. * Work with whole class or small groups of pupils within the Nursery classroom. * Work with and support pupils by delivering small group interventions / 1:1 support. * To deliver a synthetic phonics program daily and track the progress of the children. * Support pupils to understand instructions, support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils. * Promote positive behaviours and engagement for all through the use of appropriate behaviour management techniques. * Attend to pupil's personal needs if required such as hygiene, and eating, as well as help with social, welfare and health matters, reporting problems to the SENCO and EYFS Lead as appropriate. Physically assist pupils in activities (may involve lifting, where mobility is an issue).
