Job Description

The purpose of this position is to support the branch and Aftermarket team by ensuring the implementation of best management practices in all areas of responsibility. This includes meeting key performance indicators, achieving service delivery goals, and following procedures aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Key Performance Duties: Note: These tasks may change over time to meet business needs. Main Responsibilities: Check all equipment serviced or repaired by technicians Spot any extra (chargeable) work during inspections Review the quality of completed repairs Do End-of-Term (EOT) inspections on customer sites Make sure all rental equipment has valid load test certificates Look into cases where work had to be redone and find out why Identify any risks in the process or operations Help reduce maintenance costs for long-term and short-term rentals Do final checks on PDI and rebuilt units before sending them to customers Build good relationships with customers and ensure excellent service Meet regularly with management and other teams to give updates Follow all laws and company rules in your area of responsibility Suggest and help put new and better ways of working into action Must have Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification At least 5 years of experience in the forklift or material handling industry Basic computer skills Qualified diesel and/or petrol mechanic, or qualified forklift mechanic with relevant equipment experience Strong analytical skills, including the ability to compile and analyse data from different sources and present it clearly, with an understanding of basic accounting principles Good with numbers and financial information Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks effectively Strong ability to plan, prioritise, and complete projects from start to finish. Strong administrative skills with an organized, structured, and detail-oriented approach; focused on accuracy and achieving results Excellent at prioritizing tasks and handling multiple responsibilities; works well under pressure and meets deadlines Problem-solving and decision-making abilities; takes initiative, shows accountability, and can work independently Able to interpret and apply technical information correctly Understands and follows safety procedures and precautions Open to learning and adapting to new technologies and equipment model.
