We are a growing standalone practice that has a low staff turnover in a stunning coastal location and we are always looking for local veterinary talent The practice is in a fantastic location with excellent public transport access Work life balance is so important so you will only work Monday to Friday, with no weekend work or Bank Holidays and no OOH The practice is renowned for its longstanding staff with some having worked in practice since it opened in The practice believes in growing and developing its staff with several staff starting as SVNs and staying once they qualify The practice is a five-minute walk to the beach The team has a real family feel and they enjoy spending social time together including regular hikes with their dogs Well-being of staff is at the forefront of this Lytham practice ensuring a daily meeting where the practice can discuss work or just have a social catch up About us: The practice is jointly owned by one of our vets Dan and our head veterinary nurse Michelle NCert in anaesthesia. They are supported by a fantastic team of two Vets, 3 RVNs, and 2 SVNs. Plus a supportive front of house team who ensure that the vets can concentrate on their cases. Our nurses in practice love to get fully involved and help ease the pressure on the vets so they undertake as much Schedule 3 as possible. We are looking for a vet who would also be interested in coaching new grad vets and nurses, as we are passionate about growing the future of veterinary talent. We have low staff turn over and many of our colleagues have worked in the practice for over 7 years! Our surgery is located on St Andrews Road North in Lytham, the heart of St Annes on Sea on the Fylde Coast, just a few miles south of Blackpool. This is the ideal location for someone who enjoys the coast and outdoors for their days off but is also under an hour and a half from both Manchester and Liverpool City Centres if you are more of a city explorer in your free time. The Lytham practice is a floor standalone practice, which offer a spacious work environment with its 3 consult rooms and separate x-ray room. The practice is also ideally located for people who need to use public transport being located opposite the train station! The role: As a growing practice we are always interested in hearing from local talent interested in working with us, because everyone is at different stages in their veterinary career, we are open to speak to anyone. So, if you are an experienced vet looking for somewhere they can mentor and lead a team or someone looking for support for a certificate and to specialise their practice please do get in touch. At Lytham we run 15-minute appointments, Ops are finished by 1.30pm and we have a protected lunch breaks. Keen to provide the very best care to our patients we have dental X-ray and stage all of our dentals. This is supported by the nurses who scale probe and polish allowing you time to follow up other cases or get a cup of tea. Currently, we are building our orthopaedic caseload offering TPLOs and cruciate repairs. If you have a specific interest, you would like to pursue we would love to support and encourage it.
