About the job: Based in Sigonella, Italy you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Sigonella, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the NATO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Force (NISRF). CSU Sigonella enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war. We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Technician (ICT System) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities: Provide superior customer service experience to users Install and configure Desktop Services; Perform advanced analysis and troubleshooting of Desktop Services, in support of incident management processes; Perform testing and evaluation of supported hardware and software (firmware and drivers); Perform Incident Support Request lifecycle services affecting end-users (i.e. creating, reporting, tracking, resolving and closing Incidents); Ensures that the incident management process is working properly within the CSU, and between the CSU and other business Service Lines; For a full list of duties, please review the job description on the NCI Agency career site. About you: The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are: Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience. At least 2 years practical experience of implementation and maintenance of ICT end-user systems within a large organization. Good knowledge of and experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of OS Windows, MS Office, Visio, MS Project and Internet Explorer; Experience in the installation and maintenance of mobile computing solutions (e.g. VPN access, Notebooks, Remote Access and WLAN); At least 2 years practical experience in customer facing roles and in end-user support in general; Working experience troubleshooting technical issues and providing technical support to end-users. Prior experience supporting customers in the use of application software; Proficiency in using Service Desk support software tools; Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
