Job Description
Are you a strong writer with an eye for design? Do you enjoy turning complex information into compelling, well-structured documents that win work? Stepnell is looking for a Bid Writer with exceptional visual communication skills to join our collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape high-impact proposals and submissions, working closely with our Preconstruction Manager, and Business Development Manager. You’ll play a central role in producing persuasive, visually engaging bids that showcase our expertise and win new projects. What You’ll Be Doing Crafting high-quality pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) , expressions of interest , and tender submissions . Leading the development of clear, concise, and compelling content, editing and enhancing contributions from across the business. Working alongside designers and marketers to elevate the visual quality of our proposals, ensuring layouts, templates, and graphics reflect our brand. Managing submission timelines with precision coordinating input across teams and keeping everything on track. Creating engaging case studies , CVs, presentations, and visual material tailored to each opportunity. Researching clients and consultants to help tailor responses and add real value to our messaging. Supporting wider marketing activity from website copy and social media content to press releases and brochures. Helping maintain and evolve a library of reusable bid content, visuals, and project data. Visiting project sites and interviewing team members to gather insight for future proposals. What We’re Looking For A confident communicator with excellent writing and editing skills . Strong attention to detail and a natural ability to bring clarity and structure to complex information. Proficiency with MS Office , Adobe Acrobat , and design tools like InDesign would be beneficial A strong eye for layout and presentation able to ensure our bids look as good as they read. Able to work under pressure and juggle multiple deadlines, without losing the creative spark.
