Job Description
Introduction: As the Pension Welfare Management Programme Coordinator, you will be reporting into the GM: Medical & Pensions Management. Description: THE JOB AT A GLANCE As the Pension Welfare Management Programme Coordinator, you will be reporting into the GM: Medical & Pensions Management. The main objective of your position is to oversee and support the Pension Welfare Management Programme (PWMP) by ensuring smooth implementation of its various components. You will manage the delivery of key tasks across multiple departments, such as medical, pensions, rehabilitation, marketing, branding, finance, and other relevant stakeholders. Your role is crucial in aligning all departments to work together in improving the well-being of beneficiaries. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting visitors, handling inquiries, and providing information to both internal and external customers, including the stakeholders, staff, and management. Your role requires a strong ability to maintain confidentiality. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Income Security: Pension augmentation Oversees the implementation and communication of the pension augmentation and ensures that there are channels to address beneficiaries inquiries Coordinate with the pension department to ensure timely and accurate pension payments Liaise with the finance department to facilitate pension augmentation payments Communicate with impacted pensioners regarding pension augmentation benefits. Funeral benefit extension Communicates the details of the funeral benefit extension to beneficiaries, including eligibility, application procedures, and claim processing Collaboration with the claims, medical, pension, RML (Icebolethu), and life claims to process funeral benefit claims Coordinate with the communication and branding department to ensure timely notification of funeral benefits to stakeholders Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding funeral benefits. Healthcare benefits: Mobile Truck equipment fitting Liaise with facilities and external vendors to arrange equipment fitting and delivery. Communicate with stakeholders regarding equipment availability and fitting schedules. Health Benefits Collaborate with the medical management to develop, design and implement health benefit programs Manage the onboarding process of service providers Rollout plan/schedule as per the project plan Ensure Data gathering and storage is organized according to the project framework Ensure monthly billing, invoice processing, and payments are completed accurately Collaborate with the communication and branding department to promote health benefit programs to stakeholders. Wellness Awareness Collaborate with Medical Management to create wellness awareness programs Liaison with Marketing and Branding Department to promote wellness awareness programs to stakeholders Collaborate with Marketing & Branding to creates and disseminates wellness awareness materials that promote healthy behaviors Collaborate with external vendors to provide wellness services and resources. Lekgotlas Ensures that Marketing & Branding organise educational drive events in accordance with the scheduled mobile clinic, which will offer wellness awareness, COID benefits, and Social Initiatives education drives. Bursaries for Pensioners Children Coordinate with the Pension Department to identify eligible beneficiaries Coordinate with relevant departments to implement programs Liaise with external vendors to arrange bursary payments Communicate with stakeholders regarding bursary availability and the application process. Vocational Training Collaborate with Rehabilitation and external vendors to provide vocational training programs Coordinate with Medical and Pension Management to identify eligible beneficiaries Enterprise Development: Business Support Communicate with Stakeholder Management regarding business support services Coordinate with external vendors to provide business services (e.g., mentorship & training) Liaise with the Medical and Pension Management to identify beneficiaries. Cross-Functional Responsibilities: Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with the Stakeholder Management Department to ensure effective stakeholder communication. Finance: Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. Marketing and Branding: Liaise with the Communication and Branding Department to promote pension welfare management programs and services Medical Management: Collaborate with Medical Management to develop and implement healthcare benefit programs Pension Department: Coordinate with the Pension Department to ensure accurate and timely pension payments Prepare and circulate meeting agendas monthly Take accurate and professional minutes during meetings Arrange and supervise catering for all relevant meetings relating to the programme Call special meetings with directors and government officials as and when required by the GM: Medical Management Produce professional documents, briefing papers, reports, presentations and general correspondence Carry out background research and presenting findings Arrange and co-ordinate operations and medical workshops as and when necessary Collate and distribute month end reports stakeholders WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE? Grade 12 qualification/Matric Certificate Diploma in social work or health and Welfare Management Atleast 5 years relevant work experience Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Knowledge of pension systems, welfare benefits, and beneficiary management Understanding of Pension Welfare Management Programme and compliance with regulatory requirements regarding funeral benefits Ability to work with various stakeholders, including service providers and beneficiaries Knowledge of business policies, processes and procedures, legal compliance Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures Computer literacy: intermediate level MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Literate and Numerate Knowledge of customer service principles and practices Multilingualism Valid Drivers License Own transport.
