Job Description
A full service hotel is in search of an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join the team. Minimum Experience and Qualification Required: Matric / Grade 12 Post-matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous 3 – 5 years experience in a 4-star hotel, resort or similar environment Computer literate Good understanding of POS systems Previous leadership role Excellent communication skills Good numeracy skills Good wine knowledge High level of English proficiency Ability to plan Ability to train and develop a team Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic Must be a team player, with a positive attitude Must be willing to work shifts Must be able to work under pressure Own transport Responsibilities: Lead by example with a hands-on approach Plan, forecast and execute food and beverage orders Managing Of Stock (Beverage & OE) Process customer complaints patiently Check food and beverage supplies and place orders when needed Communicate and build strong relationships with vendors Adhere to food, health, and safety standards Plan, hire, train, oversee and manage the members of staff Oversee and supervise the welcoming of customers Always strive towards an exceptional customer experience Organize, direct, and evaluate food and beverage service. Performance management; monitor staff performance and provide feedback. Purchase and control of inventory. Monitor revenues and expenses. Oversee all events (Booking, Planning & Co-Ordinating) This is a live-out position. Ideally candidates should already reside in or in close proximity to Knysna.
