The Alverbank is a friendly, family run Events & Wedding venue with a Seaview restaurant over-lookingthebeach! The Alverbank is a stunning Grade II* listed building built in 1842 with a rich & interesting history, overlooking Stokes Bay Beach. We have six- en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, private dining opportunities and a large banqueting hall & garden. It offers versatility for intimate or larger scale events. We are looking for someone to join our Kitchen Team who will blend in & enjoy being part of a fabulously fun & enthusiastic Alverbank team. Your role will consist of: Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are consistently followed in the kitchen. Lead the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to maintain a high level of culinary excellence. Manage food production processes & ingredients to optimize efficiency and quality and stock storage. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces in a clean and organized manner. Qualifications Passionate about fresh food and delivering a great dining experience Organised and calm under pressure Committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with a focus on food safety and sanitation Background in hospitality and customer service Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining high standards of food production.
