Workshop Foreman – Automotive Industry (George) Location: George, Western Cape Industry: Automotive Employment Type: Full-time Salary: R 25 000 Incentives Benefits Key Responsibilities: Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified service technicians. Assist technicians in developing their skills. Ensure compliance with all regulations affecting service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OHSA Right-to-Know. Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures. Assign tasks to technicians in an equal and fair manner. Provide technical support when necessary. Ensure repairs are charged out correctly. Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks. Conduct regular performance reviews. Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed. Establish and maintain customer follow-up programs. Handle customer complaints within 24 hours. Manage department performance using various tools. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Technician. Valid Driver's Licence. Grade 12 / Matric. Minimum 1 year of workshop foreman experience. Skills and Personal Attributes: Sound communication skills in English. Interpersonal competence. Professional expertise in vehicle service and repair maintenance. Problem-solving and motor vehicle fault-finding skills. Planning and organising. Supervising and leading. Delivering results and meeting customer expectations. Following instructions and processes. Coping with pressure and setbacks. A team player. Decision-making and action-orientated. Adaptability.
