We are looking for candidates who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to our ongoing projects. As a Liferay Developer, you will be responsible for the development, customization, and maintenance of Liferay-based portals and applications. You will work within an agile environment, writing clear, quality code, performing test reviews, developing and testing APIs, and providing valuable input on software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Liferay platform and possess the technical skills to contribute effectively from day one. Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain features and functionalities for Liferay-based portals and applications using Liferay DXP/Portal. - Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices. - Develop, implement, and test APIs to facilitate integration with other systems and services. - Configure and customize Liferay themes, layouts, portlets, and modules as per project requirements. - Perform thorough testing of developed code, identify and troubleshoot software issues, and provide timely resolutions. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to standards. - Collaborate closely with business analysts, UI/UX designers, and other team members to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Provide technical input and insights during software development lifecycle phases, including planning, design, and implementation. - Support the deployment of Liferay solutions and collaborate with DevOps teams where necessary. - Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation. - Stay updated with the latest Liferay features, best practices, and related technologies. - Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by customers and internal teams, providing effective solutions. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on development experience with Liferay Portal or Liferay DXP. - Proficiency in Java and related technologies (JSP, Servlets). - Experience with Liferay development concepts including hooks, extensions, themes, portlets (JSR 286), and Service Builder. - Comfort using programming languages relevant to Liferay development and working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL). - Strong understanding of web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Experience in developing and testing RESTful or SOAP APIs. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues effectively. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum). - Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with Liferay DXP 7.x or later versions. - Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as AlloyUI, jQuery, React, or Angular. - Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle. - Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git. - Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts. - Liferay Certification(s). - Experience in the financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing domains. - Immediate joiners are preferred.
