Job Description Get to Know the Team At the AI Automation Team, we build comprehensive automated ML/AI solutions to solve complex challenges in Grab's marketplace, focusing on experiments, embeddings, recommendations, and large-scale marketplace optimizations. We welcome lead machine learning engineers passionate about designing and refining innovative ML and experiment platforms. Get to Know the Role As a Senior Data Scientist, you will develop advanced experimentation frameworks and optimization algorithms, create statistical testing methodologies, and build experimentation platforms that impact Grab's ecosystem. A strong foundation in statistical analysis, experimental design, and optimization, along with experience in scalable frameworks and a deep understanding of causal inference, hypothesis testing, and stochastic processes, are essential. You will report to the Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager and work onsite at Grab One North Singapore. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform Design and develop automated frameworks for experimentation design and analysis. Create and manage large-scale statistical analysis pipelines for experiment data evaluation. Implement stochastic optimization algorithms for marketplace efficiency and personalized user targeting. Collaborate with product teams to ensure rigorous experiment design and result interpretation. Guide teams in applying proper experimental design and optimization methodologies. Qualifications What Essential Skills You Will Need Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. Over 5 years of experience in experimentation, statistical analysis, and optimization. Expertise in A/B testing, multivariate testing, and experimental design. Proficiency in statistical methods including hypothesis testing, power analysis, and causal inference. Programming skills in Python. Experience with multiple experimentation platforms and frameworks. Familiarity with multi-armed bandit algorithms and reinforcement learning.
