If so, we need you! Jabil in Florence, KY is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer/Specialist. The EHS Engineer/Specialist will establish and promote the maintenance of a safe, accident-free, healthy work environment compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. They will also develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and employee communications regarding safety guidelines. This position is full-time on-site in Florence, KY, with occasional travel (under 5%) to other sites for training opportunities. The position may include working within the framework of 3 facilities. A $5,000 Sign-On Bonus is offered to external candidates. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Use knowledge of OSHA standards to develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with safety and health regulations. Knowledge of Hazardous Waste Generator and DOT requirements, LOTO, PIT, Walking and Working Surfaces, PPE, Electrical Safety, Material Movement, HAZCOM, and Ergonomics. Train employees in safe workplace practices. Collaborate with departments and leadership to foster a proactive EHS environment. Consult on equipment design and safety programs. Recognize hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures. Facilitate change management for EHS. Design manufacturing workspace layout for safety. Develop safety policies and guidelines. Inspect facilities to identify hazards. Recommends corrective measures. Alert managers and employees about hazards involving toxic fumes and chemicals. Develop safety training programs and communications. Participate in accident and injury investigations. Maintain safety records and systems. Support safety and quality initiatives. Other responsibilities as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field. At least 2 years of related manufacturing health and safety experience preferred, or equivalent education/training. Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of leading meetings. Recent OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
