YOUR IMPACT The role will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the design, implementation and overseeing smooth administration of Compensation & Benefits (C&B) programs which are aligned with local needs and global Total Rewards strategic direction for the APJ Region. This is a hybrid role that requires the successful candidate to be working in the office for a minimum of 3 days a week. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Responsible for the leadership of design, planning, implementation, communication, and management of compensation and benefit/retirement local programs, with the objective of being market competitive and cost effective while ensuring internal equity and alignment to local legislation Prepare, analyze and deliver executive proposals to enable the advisement and recommendation of comp & benefit plan changes to ensure program governance, long-term affordability and positive employee experience Independently carry out Benefits and Retirement plan research, design, recommendations and communication Participating as a member of Global Total Rewards team in facilitating discussions and developing relationships with senior regional business leaders, Regional HR Leaders and Country Union members in educating, advising or solicitating buy-in for various TR topics Facilitate the creation of a framework for developing programs and practices to ensure administrative excellence of benefits operations, including oversight of benefit program’s administration and compliance (i.e. Coaching HRSS, providing training and education on programs) Oversee development and delivery of comprehensive training to enhance employee understanding of compensation and benefit plans as well as ensure country Benefits information are accurately represented by TA and HRSS including intranet sites (OTC etc.) In partnership with third party consultants / vendors negotiate and manage local benefit contracts to ensure service delivery. Maintain vendor relationships to manage group benefit plan administration and vendor’s compliance to the contract terms and conditions, including annual renewals and new contract formulation to ensure optimum efficiency WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Ideally 10 years of professional experience in a similar field and 4 years of diversified leadership, planning, communication & organization skills (or equivalent experience) Demonstrated ability of being agile and flexible to anticipate and respond quickly, creatively to change and shifting, sometimes competing, priorities Day-to-day management of compensation & benefits programs for the region, including costing and modeling for proposals, and experience in leading large-scale programs Desire to improve current processes and procedures by partnering with the HR Shared Services team to deliver exceptional employee experience Manage regional C&B team and deliver assigned projects locally including regional M&A integration, LERs and Divestiture Excellent consultative, interpersonal & influencing skills, exercising good judgment in problem solving, building trusted advisor relationships and maintaining good communication with global leaders, HR and business stakeholders Ideally a Masters / Post Graduate degree in HR or equivalent combination of education OpenText's efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
