Finance Transformation Lead

We're looking for a Finance Transformation Lead – Fractional Role After 27 years, my co-founder and our long-serving Finance Director is retiring this July. It's the perfect moment to reimagine how we do things so we're now on a mission to modernise our finance and payroll functions – building a smarter, more digital, more agile operation that sets us up for the future. We’re looking for someone who can lead that change on a part-time, interim, or project basis. A key part of the role will also be to help us define the future resourcing needs of our finance function. Initially working alone, alongside the outgoing FD, COO and CEO you'll help us establish what we need to grow steadily and sustainably from £3m turnover and circa 60 FTE colleagues to ensure we’re set up for long-term success. We're thinking ✅ Part-qualified accountant ✅ Strong working knowledge of the apprenticeship sector ✅ Experience with XERO reporting tools ✅ Confident with statutory accounts and DfE audits ✅ Senior role – reporting to the CEO/Operations Director ✅ Lead officer for our new Risk & Audit Committee You’ll bring hands-on experience transforming finance functions – from digitising processes and systems to embedding clear reporting and compliance.
