Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) Location: Tilbury Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience) ________________________________________ Role Overview and Purpose Shorterm Group are seeking an electrically biased trades-person to undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on-site for our well established client. Tasks will range from minor plumbing defects and cleaning AC filters to repairs to building fabric. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Manager, including fault finding, testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment. * Perform various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks. * Close/update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system. * Maintain engineering standards to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems. * Adhere to company QA and site procedures in all aspects. * Follow Company & Site Health & Safety procedures at all times. * Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works. * Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required and requested by management. * Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner. * Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach. Required Skills and Experience * City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE. * Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training. * Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering. * Excellent customer service skills. * Smart appearance and presentable. * Logical thinker in fault-finding situations. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Comfortable working within a team environment and able to contribute to group success while willingly following instructions of others. * Able to work unsupervised. * Self-motivated with the ability to self-generate reactive tasks. * Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change. * Customer-focused. Desirable Skills and Experience * IPAF, PASMA certifications. * Knowledge and use of computer software - Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems. * HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience.
