Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

A leading academic medical center in Northern New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Neurosurgery team across two major sites. This is a flexible, full-time locum opportunity offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient care. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 8am to 4:30pm Setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient Responsibilities: Providing clinical support in both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical settings Conducting pre- and post-operative assessments Assisting with inpatient neurosurgical procedures Collaborating with Neurosurgeons and Clinical teams across both campuses Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and managing follow-up care plans Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: 2 years of Physician Assistant experience, preferably in Neurosurgery or a surgical specialty Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program Current NJ Physician Assistant (PA) license Active and up-to-date CDS and DEA NPI number required Prior experience in a Trauma-level Hospital Strong EMR and clinical documentation skills Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities Ability to travel between two hospital locations (within proximity) Desired Skills: Neurosurgical experience Experience with Inpatient procedures Flexibility to adjust to changing needs and call schedules Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration
