Location: Torquay We are recruiting for a highly respected residential care provider for children and young people, who is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to join their team. The young people in their care, aged between 8-18 years, have a variety of emotional and behavioural needs, and this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant, positive impact on their lives. Your daily tasks will include: * Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager * Ensuring that Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory training and assisting in their development * Communicating with the team about individual care plans and their implementation * Maintaining accurate records for monitoring and evaluation purposes * Contributing to team and staff meetings to promote effective communication and staff development * Providing support and care to the young people in the service * Encouraging young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage with their current schooling * Supporting young people with transport to and from school or college * Preparing meals and maintaining a clean and supportive home environment * Organising and facilitating social activities This is just a brief overview. What We’re Looking For: * A full UK driving licence * A commitment to completing a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent in Children & Young People’s workforce * Ideally, 12 months of senior experience in a residential care setting, although applications from those new to the role are also encouraged * A clean DBS check and reference checks will be conducted as per safer recruitment guidelines Why Apply?
