Job Description

Job Title: Social Value Coordinator Location: South West Region - Remote working with visits various site when required. Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Thatcher Associates is excited to recruit a dynamic Social Value Coordinator on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the construction sector. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by managing and delivering social value initiatives across the South West, building strong community relationships, and driving innovative solutions to meet client expectations. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand and deliver engaging social value programmes tailored to their requirements. * Support bid teams by providing creative input and expertise for social value responses to secure new contracts. * Lead external project communications, including newsletters, website updates, and social media posts. * Address local resident queries or concerns professionally, including in-person visits to resolve issues. * Keep local authorities informed and attend resident forums alongside project management teams. * Identify innovative approaches to exceed client social value expectations. * Organise and host volunteer events, career fairs, charity initiatives, and educational resources. * Develop and implement employment and skills plans to achieve social value commitments. * Work with supply chain partners to create and deliver social value action plans. * Record, monitor, and report social value activities using platforms like Thrive or Social Value Portal. * Network with public and private sector bodies to identify future social value opportunities in construction. * Maintain strong client relationships to promote social value services. * Regularly communicate project progress and stay informed about local events that may impact or enhance social value activities. * Travel regularly within the South West to support project delivery. Requirements: * Confident communicator with experience presenting at all levels. * Understanding of social value measurement and familiarity with relevant frameworks. * Knowledge of the local community landscape, including community organisations, educational institutions, and local authorities. * Experience in bid writing or creative thinking for social value deliverables is advantageous. * Proactive, organised, and able to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. * Willingness to travel regularly and engage directly with communities.
