The School This specialist SEMH school in South Gloucestershire caters to both primary and secondary-aged students. The school supports children and young people with complex behavioural needs, many of whom have experienced trauma. The Role Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis Foster emotional regulation and positive behaviour Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including teachers and therapists Be part of a trauma-informed environment that supports students' wellbeing Remain calm and adaptable in high-pressure situations Essential Criteria Experience in PRUs or SEMH schools/settings Resilient, empathetic, and patient approach Confident managing challenging behaviour Able to build strong relationships with students Desirable Criteria Team Teach or equivalent training Understanding of trauma-informed practice Want to become a qualified TA? We are currently working in partnership with a training provider. Cidori offer a fully funded Level 2 Teaching Assistant course. The course lasts 4 weeks and will give you the knowledge and skills needed to work in schools. You will become confident leading small group sessions and forming professional relationships with students.
