Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our supportive school team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, especially those considering a career in teaching. As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work and ensuring a calm, focused learning environment. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise lessons across a range of subjects and year groups (Key Stages 3 & 4) * Deliver and manage pre-prepared lesson plans left by the class teacher * Maintain classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task * Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and conduct * Support with other school duties as required, including registration and break/lunch cover Candidate Requirements: * Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) * Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in a school, coaching, tutoring, youth work) * Strong communication and classroom management skills * Confidence to lead a class and follow school procedures * Ability to adapt and remain calm under pressure * A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) Ideal For: * Graduates considering a career in teaching * Experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants * Individuals looking for flexible work within education What We Offer: * Flexible work across a range of schools * Opportunities for long-term or permanent roles * Supportive school environments and mentoring
