Job Description
Job Title: Audit, Compliance & Data Assistant Based: Hybrid ( working from home and our Head Office, in St Mellons, Cardiff) Employment Status: Full time, Fixed Term 3 month initial Contract, flexible working patterns considered. Salary: £24,000 We are looking for a keen individual to join in a hybrid role between the audit and data team at T2 group to help us support our staff. This role will likely move fully into one of the teams at some point in the future. We aim to deliver a great experience for our learners whilst ensuring that we comply with our responsibilities to the learner, their employer and the government and other organisations that fund the learning we offer.No prior experience is required, and full training will be given. Role Purpose: To be a key member of our audit & data teams by carrying out checks on learner files to ensure that they are complete, accurate and filled in appropriately and supporting operational staff responding to queries around data and regulatory requirements. This is a key role to ensure proper accountability and allows us to be able to prove to the government that we are compliant with statutory requirements and ensuring the money we are entrusted for training learners is being spent appropriately. Key Responsibilities: To check that we have sufficient evidence that the learners we are enrolling are eligible for government funding's. To perform interim checks part the way through a learners journey to ensure that our data on learner progression is reliable.This allows us to know that we are focusing additional support to learners who need it most. To audit the completed learner files for our learners as they achiever their qualifications to ensure we have collected everything we need to support the funding claimed for the learner. For all the above keeping concise and accurate audit records, providing feedback to the Senior Auditor on issues found and where you have identified any changes or improvements we can make. To partake in more specific deep dive business audit projects as required. Supporting operational staff by responding to queries around data and regulatory requirements via administration of the Data Queries email account. Action of learner employment transfer calculations and updating and maintaining the learner employment transfer database. To provide reactivation calculations for retentions/operations. To process registration reports. Skills & experience required: Essential: Confidence to make decisions and a willingness to take responsibility and ownership for work tasks. Ability to manage your own workload and to motivate yourself to meet deadlines including when working from home, this will include reporting to the Senior Auditor on work tasks. The ability to clearly communicate both in writing and orally.This will include the ability to occasionally provide challenge and critical feedback to more experienced staff in a constructive way. Attention to detail. Ability to work in a team and support colleagues to achieve shared objectives. Desirable: Knowledge of Microsoft office applications (full training will be provided if required) Knowledge of Apprenticeships funding (full training will be provided if required) Additional Requirements Employment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check & references t2 group is committed to providing a safe environment for all learners and employees.
