About the role Supervise classes/groups of pupils during break periods Ensure pupils remain on task with cover work set by absent teacher, to ensure continuity of learning. Managing a classroom, ensuring high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policy Support school events Opportunities for training and development internally and externally A Secondary Teaching Assistant will Have extensive prior experience within an education establishment as a learning support assistant, teaching assistant, unqualified teacher etc Possess good behaviour management skills and remain calm under pressure.
