Senior Accountancy Assistant Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 8PP 15 hours per week Permanent position Grade 4: £30,559 - £32,645 (based on 37 hours) pro rata Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service (NFRS) are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to become an integral part of our Finance team. As a Senior Accountancy Assistant you will provide a comprehensive range of accounting and financial services to NFRS including accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity that will ensure you are at the forefront of keeping our communities safe. The Role This exciting part-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. As a Senior Accountancy Assistant, you'll join a dedicated team delivering a full range of accountancy and financial support services across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: To reconcile the payroll transactions to the financial information system, to investigate variances, to input correcting journals and report explanations Formulation of financial reports, estimates and statistics as well as contributing towards the calculation of new budgets as required To maintain and produce all the Sales invoices for all income related to the service, ensuring that collection of debts is timely. Reporting to management potential bad debts and write off debts. Recording all levels of communication in the event of a small claim court case Write procedures relevant to this role and work flexibly in busy periods to ensure that duties are carried out on time At the financial year end, investigate balance sheets and analyse debtors and creditors while providing findings to external auditors Provide the Finance Department with cover on a variety of tasks commensurate with the role Why NFRS?
