OEM and Integrator strategies are technical and require understanding product capabilities, while End User sales involve higher-level contacts and discussing business return on investment across all organizational levels. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Act as a trusted advisor, bringing the latest digital technologies to help customers grow and improve their businesses. Learn the Emerson Software portfolio through training, demonstrate, and communicate the value and ROI of these products to customers. Drive sales opportunities to closure to meet order and sales targets. Strategically select key verticals and accounts within your territory. Follow up promptly on leads generated by marketing activities to create new business. Expand target accounts creatively, identify new growth niches with an entrepreneurial approach. Prioritize new customers and assist them in addressing their challenges. Plan tactically for commercial and marketing activities. Prospect customers and opportunities, then close deals. Be accountable for new orders and sales performance in your area. Develop account plans and execute tactically. Collaborate with marketing, product managers, engineers, and supply chain teams to share market and customer insights. Partner with global marketing and industry managers to implement local activities. Forecast orders using CRM tools. Maintain detailed knowledge of Emerson products, applications, pricing, industry trends, and strategies. Who You Are: This is a fast-paced commercial role. You will set up meetings with current and potential customers in your territory, listen to their needs, and work with engineers and proposal specialists to create automation solutions. You will sell innovative software solutions across industries such as manufacturing, water & wastewater, automotive, tunnels & metros, life sciences, chemicals, and oil & gas, providing broad exposure to enhance your expertise and career growth. For This Role, You Will Need: Minimum 5 years of experience in outside sales or small business leadership, preferably in industrial automation. Knowledge of HMI, Supervisory Control, and/or Plant Analytics software. Understanding of automation systems for building, infrastructure, manufacturing, or machine automation, including IIoT, HMI/SCADA, OEE software, and cloud/EDGE technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian (native proficiency) and good command of English. The role is based in Modena, Italy, but involves significant travel; home-based locations in Italy are acceptable. Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Studies in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Previous experience as an Application Engineer or Solution Architect. Sales experience in related industries such as mechatronics, robotics, industrial software, MES/MIS, cloud computing, instrumentation, or OEM equipment.
