Engineering Technician

Job Description: Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Improvement: Perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximize uptime and drive continuous improvement of process and facilities equipment. Problem Solving: Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and problem-solving across the site. Safety and Compliance: Ensure health and safety standards during engineering interventions and maintain high standards of housekeeping and GMP. Integration and Support: Support the integration of new machinery/technology and issue permits and host service contractors following training. Documentation: Capture engineering changes and oversee updates to drawings, support maintenance strategies, and use maintenance management systems to log and record breakdowns and corrective actions. Skills & Experience: Technical Knowledge: Broad experience in electrical systems, operations, and maintenance, including HVAC, fire protection systems, LV electrical networks, PLCs, and SCADA systems. Software Proficiency: Fluent in PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally MS Project and CAD. CMMS Systems: Knowledge of CMMS systems such as Maximo. Qualifications/Education: Education: HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering preferred. Apprenticeship: Recognized engineering apprenticeship completed within a regulated industry. Languages: English: Proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading.
