Join Kota as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend (.NET) Are you passionate about building robust backend systems that improve customer and operational experiences? This is an opportunity for direct impact in a pioneering startup. Kota seeks a Senior Engineer to support and scale our products, including benefit & financial products and operations. You will be part of the core team for our B2B product, collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to develop impactful solutions for our customers. We are open to discussing your individual circumstances to find a suitable timeline. What You'll Do Drive innovation: Build and enhance products to scale Kota’s benefit and financial operations. Collaborate for impact: Work closely with teams across Kota to refine procedures, ensuring excellent customer experiences and operational efficiency. Own incident management: Serve as an incident responder for technical issues, fostering a blameless culture of learning and improvement. Architect for the future: Research, design, and implement enhancements to strengthen our products and processes. A typical week might include: Architecting and building new features for our customer-facing web and mobile applications, and finance and benefit systems. Transforming inefficient internal workflows into self-service features that delight customers and save time. Leading technical efforts to resolve customer-reported issues as part of the incident response team. What We're Looking For Experience: 6 years in building backend systems with expertise in .NET (latest versions 6-9) , SQL databases, ORM frameworks, and automated test frameworks. Cloud experience: Azure / AWS. Industry knowledge: Fintech, payroll, or benefits experience is a plus. Problem-solving mindset: Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy solving complex challenges. Education: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, bootcamp graduation, or proven self-taught experience. Availability: At least 4 hours of overlap with GMT working hours. Why Join Kota?
