Principal Civil Engineer

Our Client has a requirement for a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer who will be required to work on a 12 Month Contract or Staff basis in Manchester. Employment Type: Permanent or Contract If contract it will fall Outside IR35 Hybrid working - 3 days in office, 2 days at home Responsibilities Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements. Identify efficient design solutions from scopes and site visits and communicate these to client and project team. Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates. Prepare design risk assessments, reports and specifications. Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and water company standards. Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded. Undertake work using formal processes and procedures. Estimate hours required for design packages. Attend and present designs at meetings. Required Qualifications & Experience 10 years’ relevant design experience in the water industry. Graduate, HND or significant experience from Technician level. Good level of IT proficiency. Registered with a professional body and working towards chartership. Preferred Qualifications & Experience Chartered Engineer. Experience with both clean and dirty water projects. Awareness of construction methods and materials. Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
