Health and Care Service Manager Location: Swansea and surrounding area Hours: 17.5 per week Contract Type: Fixed term contract until end of March 2026 Salary: £28,507 per annum based on 35 hours per week Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential (Business mileage will be reimbursed) Do you have great leadership skills and can get the best out of people? For over 75 years, the British Red Cross has supported the NHS and provided a lifeline for vulnerable individuals and supported people in crisis following an emergency.If you are organised and motivated then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Health and Care team as a Service Manager .You will manage health and care services, ensuring all appropriate standards and requirements are met and service contracts maintained. What does a day in the life of a Service Manager involve? Ensuring services are developed and implemented within the framework of national guidelines and to national expectations but flexed to meet local needs. Ensuring the area is working within Corporate Plan; service standards are achieved and maintained. Supporting developments and contracts. Quality and performance management. Line management of staff. What does it take to be a successful Service Manager? Management experience and excellent organisational skills with an ability for prioritising your own & other peoples workload against competing deadlines. Experience of working in a health or social care setting or voluntary organisation and delivering high quality services to people in need. Sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365; Outlook, word processing, presentation and spread sheet packages. Ability to prepare, manage and monitor budgets.
